Selina Agafay, Morocco- NEW LOCATION!
It is here! Opening month for the new Selina Agafay in Morocco has arrived. On May 20th, the first Selina in Morocco will kick off by hosting the international music festival, Sattalight, hosting 20 DJs from around the world.
The event is sure to bring the vibrant social energy Selina locations are known for to the Agafay hills and introduce digital nomads to this incredible landscape.
The newest Selina location offers guests incredible glamping in the sand dunes of Morocco with traditional Selina offerings like a night club, pool, and Coworking space. Digital nomads can partake in incredible unique experiences like camel rides, desert wellness and canyon taking at this amazing location.
Accommodations are a bit different at the Selina Agafay in that guest will sleep under the stars in a series of high end tents. CoLive residents can expect the same variety of room levels they are used to- including shared tents, micro levels, up to large deluxe glimpsing lofts. Though the sizing of the shared spaces will vary a bit- fr example, the “dorm” tent holds 25 beds.

Digital Nomad Retreats
Both Noma Collective and Selina had digital nomad retreats kick of this month.
Selina’s current retreat is showing of their Ecuador locations including the new Banos location.
The retreat visits their Quito and Tena locations in addition to the Banos forest.
Noma Editions kicked off their retreat in Business Aires digital nomad retreat this week. The 30 day long event focuses on cultural immersion and professional development.

Noma Editions has announced their next two digital nomad retreats.
Each retreat brings digital nomads together in global locations where there is not a permeant Noma location and introduces digital nomads to a great community and culturally diverse experiences.

Corporate News
Selina Hospitality to go Public
Selina Hospitality, the company behind the Selina hotel chain and Colive program announced that it will be going public.
The finance move will secure $147.5M in financing for the company to assist its growth and adaptation to the growing digital nomads landscape geared towards Gen Z and Millennial remote workers.
Selina Hospitality will be released on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the company is expected to value at $1.2B.
Selina Hospitality is Trying Out a Visa Loyalty Card
The Selina hospitality brand has been busy lately.
In addition to the announcement to go public, the company has been testing out a Selina Hotel Visa card.
The card will be a loyalty card, in addition to a payment method, where card holders can earn points for use on future stays as well as cash back.
Keeping their prime demographics of Gen Z and Millennial in mind, the Selina card is a debit card instead of a credit card and is managed by First International Bank.
For Selina locations that currently offer the card to guests, guests receive a $25 reward at sign up in addition to their loyalty points.
The company’s IPO is taking precedence over the card’s roll out, so the earliest the card is expecting to be amiable globally is late 2022.

Outsite Hosting Free Online Event
Upscale and chic coliving provider, Outsite, is hosting a free online event to introduce guests to their 30+ global locations.
The event is an opportunity for new and current digital nomads to ask their detailed questions about each location to people who have been and get a real sense for what Outsite is about.
The event is happening May 24th at noon PT and is free to all registrants.

Black is the New Beige Soiree
The swanky Selina in Chelsea New York is rolling out a new weekly soiree called Beige is the New Black.
In addition to referring to the latests fashion trend, the event will reflect the trendier and chic vibes the Selina Chelsea location offers.
The event is scheduled for Sunday evenings at 7p in the Selina HOWM Cafe. The kick off event is this weekend for those digital nomads looking to get a first look.

Happy National Nursing Month to all the amazing and hardworking nurses out there!
Selina is celebrating by giving away 20 stays across 25 countries to US based nurses, healthcare workers and similar heroes through their You Care @ program.
Nurses and eligible healthcare workers can enter to win prizes ranging from 2 nights stays up to an entire 30 days stay across 25 locations. Though, airfare is not included in the prize package.
